The parent of the student called Pacific Justice Institute and requested representation. PJI affiliate attorney, Vip Bhola, took the case to trial last week and won on a motion to dismiss. 'It is important to protect American freedoms, including the freedom to provide your children with a quality education at home." Bhola said.
"I wanted to let you know that our case went to trial Wednesday at the Santa Monica Court, Juvenile Division," the parent wrote in an email to PJI. "Vip Bhola, the lawyer you found for us, is an amazing man! He is thorough, kind, very smart, and a champion of homeschoolers, too. After hearing the testimony of the policeman and reading Vip's presentation of our side, the judge dismissed the case,"
Brad Dacus, president of PJI stated, "This is a clear victory and underscores our commitment to protect the rights of everyone who chooses to educate their children at home."
